- The International Summer Course of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, themed “Tomini Bay: A Tropical Semi-Enclosed Marine Laboratory for Biodiversity, Geoscience, Ethno-STEM Education, and Sustainable Coastal Futures,” is designed as an international learning space that positions Tomini Bay, Gorontalo, and the Wallacea region as a tropical natural laboratory. This program brings together scientific perspectives from across FMIPA disciplines — biology, mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, geology, geography, science education, and environmental science. Topics covered include coastal resource conservation, tarsier ecology and bioacoustics, aquatic resource modeling, coastal oceanography, bioactive compound bioprospecting, environmental statistics, Gorontalo geodiversity, coastal tourism, ethnoscience, ethnomathematics, ethnochemistry, and local-wisdom-based tropical forest management in Wallacea.
